David Rudolph - NBA Free play & Hockey is back!

January 9th, 2013 - It's been a while since I've made time for a quick blog post, today's quick hits will include an NBA OVER play I love tonight!

As I am sad for the entire DC area and RG3’s Knee, I realize the NFL playoffs are moving on, and there is no better weekend than this one all year. We get four games, and they all should be really good. There are two big favorites, but I feel they are both ripe for the upset. My favorite of the two is Baltimore as of mid-week, but there's plenty of time for the plethora of information to completely change my mind. From a strictly fan standpoint though, I would love to see San Fran and Seattle play for the NFC and obviously the New England, Denver match-up would be big ratings.

The tree did indeed fall in the forest when the NHL decided to end its lockout. What does this mean to me and you? It means we get to bet sides and totals of these games courtesy of RichardDouglas, and trust me that's a very good thing! Last year Richard hit the highest percentage of winners in one season I've ever seen in my 21 years in the business in any one sport! Oh, and he also called the LA Kings as the eventual champion, and that was at the trade deadline when it wasn't even for sure they'd make the playoffs!

My NBA has been going well, it's one of those times where I'm seeing everything very clearly. That being said I'll probably need to knock on wood before releasing this OVER tonight. The Mavericks will travel to LA tonight to face the Clippers, and barring a blow out, it should easily fly over the posted 201 number. The Clips are going for 13 in a row at home, but I feel Dirk and company will keep it close and meanwhile put up a ton of points. Nowitzki has increased the Mavs output by more than 8 points per contest since returning from surgery on his right knee. The Clippers feed off their home crowd and thus push the pace at Staples center, so I really do see this as an easy OVER tonight. (Have no fear, still knocking on wood!)
NBA quick hitter: Another game to take a look at the over is Denver/ Orlando. It's obvious by looking at any covers printout on the back of a line sheet that Orlando is on quite the OVER streak, but this number is a little lower because the offense of Denver has changed over the past month. BUT, tonight I fully expect them to run with this Orlando team who lacks their big man, Glenn Davis.

David's NBA Special! Get it now while it last!
