This matchup pits two of the best front runners so far for the Big 12 title. Texas Tech has surprised just about everyone, playing not only the up tempo offense that the Red Raiders have been known for, but also for playing solid defensive ball, logging 54 stops behind the line of scrimmage. The Sooners two weeks ago looked liek they were destined to take the title this year, but have looked shaky at best during long stretches this season. If we look at both team's offensive efficiencies, we see a lot of similarities
Both team's have averaged big plays pretty often this season, but the difference has been in how they do it. Oklahoma has 52 runs of more than 10 yards, making up the bulk of their big plays. Tech on the other hand has attacked through the air, amassing 37 plays of more than 15 yards. This difference shows up with the players that lead each team in non passing yards

Jace Amaro has picked up 17% of the teams offense, with half of the yardage going to receivers. The offense has hummed along even with the injury to Baker Mayfield. Its been the year of freshman at QB, as Davis Webb has filled in admirably for his injured freshman counterpart.
For OU, Blake Bell came onto the scene and looked fantastic but has struggled recently, seeing his yardage drop each week. The run game though has helped make up the difference, lead by Brennan Clay

Defensively, both teams are similar as well, although Tech has been vulnerable to the big play on defense whereas Oklahoma has been much more sound. Oklahoma though is allowing more red zone conversions by a wide margin
This game will be interesting to see if OU can get over their struggles, or if Tech can keep pace with Baylor atop the Big 12.
