Make That Money! Two Free Picks

By: Rich Douglas

The Sun Devils are finally garnering some respect as they've broken into the Top 25 in both of the polls. I usually don't care about such things, but it's good to see that the Pac 12 as a whole is getting the notice that it deserves as it's clearly the second best conference in the country. Arizona State's offense is in my opinion, the second best offense in the conference right behind Oregon. Notre Dame has looked very average on the field and has been awful ATS. They're 3-2 on the year as their offense has looked very stagnant with Tommy Rees under center along with a running game that has looked very inconsistent. They will lean heavily on their defense in order to pull off the upset at home.

Main reason why you'll cash on ASU -6

Taylor Kelly still hasn't looked as sharp as you'd expect him to be, but the senior QB is still averaging 340 yards per game with a 61% completion rate with 11 TDs and 4 INTs. He's distributed the ball very well to his receivers, but none have been more impressive than Jaeleen Strong. Strong is averaging 108 yards per game and has a couple of scores under his belt. Perhaps the biggest weapon on offense is future NFLer Marion Grice. Grice has found the endzone a total of 12 times, 8 rushing and 4 receiving, and has looked excellent in all facets of a running backs game.

Going to shift gears and give you a free hockey play:

Ottawa -118 at Buffalo.

The Senators are fully loaded those year yet remain very much under the radar. You can still get them at 30/1 to win the Cup and 14/1 to win the East. Jason Spezza, Erik Karlsson, Craig Anderson, and Milan Michalek all missed more than half the season last year, yet they managed to make it into the second round of the playoffs. Now, they bring in all-star Bobby Ryan via trade which should set up for an offense with plenty of firepower. As long as the goaltending stays strong, and it should, then this should be the first of many, many wins.
