Free Pick Friday: Washington at Arizona State

By: Rich Douglas

Happy Free Pick Friday!

The Play: Washington +3.5 at Arizona State.

Lightning Quick Reasons Why They'll Cover

-Bishop Sankey is second in the nation in rushing averaging nearly 6 yards per attempt.
-The Sun Devils allow opponents to average nearly 170 yards rushing per game, so Sankey and the Huskies should be able to control the ball and the clock.
-The ASU offensive line has looked horrendous in pass protection this year, as was evident in their disappointing loss to Notre Dame. Kelly was forced to improvise and make risky plays. This cost them dearly. Washington should be able to do much of the same.
-Remember the name Hau'oli Kikaha. Or at least remember it phonetically. He has accounted for 26 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for a loss, and 3.5 sacks. Beware ASU OLinemen.
-Where has Will Sutton gone? One of the nation's most talked about Defensive Linemen has disappeared this season.
-Arizona State is by no means a bad team. They're a solid fringe Top 25 squad, but a definite stepdown in competition for the Huskies after nearly defeating Stanford, and well, being competitive against Oregon.
